Recently completed a brand new piece for Dublin Canvas of Phil Lynott in his hometown, Crumlin. It’s called ‘One of our own’ to reflect Phil’s proud Irish identity. In the background, I used the colours of the Irish flag, turning it on its side so that the gold in the flag became a halo around him, his beautiful hair and his brilliant brain. It also reflects the massive respect Irish people have for him. A true Dublin legend!
You can find it at the Stannaway entrance to Sundrive Park. Hope it gives you a smile!
I make paintings (usually of pets)! I charge €150 for an original watercolour painting on A3 canvas board. I specialise in painting faces and pets! Some examples below. If you would like to order one, send me an email at email@example.com.

About the piece:
“Angels were very important to my mother, who I lost to cancer in 2013. She even had her own private Christmas tree, separate from the family tree, that was strictly for angels only. As I grew into an adult, she asked me to carry a tiny angel in my bag to protect me as I went off into the night. These wings express the colour that she brought to my world & the true angel that she was (& is) to me.”
I won a commission to paint one of Dublin’s electrical boxes thanks to the Dublin Canvas Project which is funded by Dublin City Council. Here was my offering in before during & after states!! I regularly do commissions, if you’d like one, they go from €150… email email@example.com for more details!
My work will be featured in Common Place Studios’ affordable art market on Sunday December 14th from 2pm – 9pm. All three pieces are framed and priced at or under €100. And there’ll be mince pies and mulled wine! Hohohoray!

Life Drawing and Painting Masterclass with Áine Macken and Burlesque Life Model.
26 & 27th April, 10 am – 4 pm in the MART Old Firestation Rathmines.
This immersive and entertaining class with renowned painter and educator Áine Macken will give you the chance to explore and develop your drawing and painting skills with a Burlesque/Cabaret performer as our alternative life model for what promises to be an enjoyable and rewarding weekend of creativity.
Utilising our very talented, experienced and fun model, Áine will show you how to improve your drawing skills by thinking outside your average art class and really playing with drawing and painting to make some really amazing work! Some of the tasks will involve portraiture speed dating; blind drawing; playing with watercolour; testing your memory; mixing colour; and all involve throwing yourself into life drawing and painting eventually having perfectly finished life paintings on canvas by the end of the weekend.
Due to overwhelming demand, the original date of 3/4th of May has been pushed forward to allow for a bigger venue and even more spaces, which have now DOUBLED to 12 and mean that the price for the two day masterclass is only €80.
Áine has exhibited in Ireland and internationally and has run nightlife art classes called ART CLASH for two years now, and having soaked up all that information will be guiding people in a comprehensive and new way of thinking about how to make successful images in a fun and relaxed environment where you’ll see real results!
